Chennai organic dosa Iddli batter sold in USA

We have been buying Chennai and Sunehri Iddli Dosa batter i like Sunehri because they make exclusively Iddli batter and cones out good and enjoy them The markings on the box is clear showing manufacture and expiry dates
The other day we bought Organic Chennai Dosa/Iddli batter which had BB June 2023 i took it to local store where I bought and the owner just returned my $8.00 and didn't show any surprise that she selling and strong Chennai battery that has BB June 23
Is it by mistake she is selling the battery or Chennai battery company is knowingly or otherwise marketing the food products
